Seemed Like Old Times
Mike Anderson was in the building. The Razorbacks played at a fast pace and scored lots of points - and they walked off the court with an exciting win over a big-name opponent. Sounds like the only way the evening could have been more entertaining is if Nolan had shown up.
Being in Atlanta, I didn't get to see the game and would love to hear from those that did. There are bound to be numerous growing pains ahead, but it seems like, at long last, we're in for an exciting basketball season.

It was a good game and, most importantly, it was fun to watch! (never would have said that last year). Personally, I like halftime scores of 51-50.
The hogs do need to work on controlling their turnovers – some of theirs looked junior highish and just awful. If they can get those down, or at least force more than they give up, they will have a great run.
I also liked the quote in the paper today from Charles Thomas talking about how the team played hard because they were “scared” to lose and face the wrath of Coach Pel. It reminds me of the kind of intensity Nolan would get his players to play with in the glory days. It’s this type of attitude and the success of his first recruiting class that have me really excited about Coach Pel – he was a great hire.
Now if we could just get the same type of guy for football – I’ve heard we have an opening, is that true? (yes, sarcasm).

It was a great game, guys. If this team can keep the turnovers below 15 for 40 minutes, they have no ceiling.
It’s going to be a great year.
