What about the rumors of Stephen’s role in the Petrino hiring. I read one place there were allegations he was seen repeatedly going back and forth from a payphone outside Equity Sports B&G, to a dark table in the corner inside.

The source says that each time he came back to the table, he would scribble something on a napkin and slide it to the person sitting on the other side of the table, who could not clearly be seen or identified. At the end of this activity the mystery customer slipped out the back door by the restroom, still not visible enough to get a good look. Another guest at the restaurant was sure they had seen Russ Campbell, Petrino’s agent, at the bar earlier, and it is believed that this might have been whom Stephen was talking to inside the restaurant.

After the person left, Stephen then walked over to the bar, pounded back three shots of tequila, and then called the hogs. Of course this could be merely incidental and have nothing to do with the person sitting at the table, since he can be seen doing this a couple of times a day.
