Vandy is our last shot at a quality win. Sure we had those two at home after our little loss of focus with Georgia and South Carolina but, that is pretty much a wash if you look at the real circumstances. These guys belong on the bubble at best and may manage to play their way back on the bubble.

Ya’ll just too sick to even do a post on the Kentucky game?

(I pretty much agree).

What Kentucky game? Did we play Kentucky recently? I don’t remember…

All I saw was the tipoff of Duke/St. John’s. Thought the game was cancelled.

Well…. My husband laughed out loud when he read your friend Wally on Sunday. Said Wally was now quoting me—-I said on Sat., “NOW, John Pelphrey knows how it feels to play in Rupp and NOT be wearing blue”. (referring to a couple of questionable calls that didn’t go our way)
Kinda scares me, tho’ that we shared a wave length—-however short.

As I already told Stephen, I am sticking with my mid-season prediction: 9-7 or 8-8 in the conference (good for second in the SEC West), 20 wins and exiting after either the first or second round of the NCAA tournament.

Whit and all,

I would be thrilled if we won a first-round match-up. Honestly, I don’t think the talent lends itself to more than that, and if we were able to snag our first tournament win since 1999 (crazy!), that would be enough for me.

Right there with you Beave!! Screen went blank with 58 seconds to go and then I saw St. Johns take an early lead on Duke. THANKS CBS!!

wtf? just lost to ‘bama. I can never understand this group of players. I’m out of state as well, and spend countless hours watching the game tracker on espn or yahoo, only to watch the game end with a loss. i know these guys are talented, i know we’ve got a good coach (though not his players) but still, we can’t even compete for the SEC west? This is not the type of SEC bball played in the mid to late 90s. SEC is good, but not great conference at this point (as is the case for the last several years) but still we are always on the bubble. Please, someone tell me what’s going on so that this expat can try to understand.
