NIT Fever - Catch It
It sure looks like the Hogs have.
The game wasn't broadcast here in Atlanta. Can't say that I'm unhappy about it.
Take a look at those shooting percentages (particularly the one from three-point range): downright ghastly.
Good news: Our next game is at home. Bad news: It's against No. 18 Vanderbilt, which pulled out a slightly impressive victory last night.

Ok guys,
You’re probably going to hate me for this, but I need to talk some football. I’m getting spring fever here in Colorado Springs, Colorado and I must know if Ryan Mallett will be starting next season. I’d heard lots of great things but I’ve seen no news to back it up.
Anyway, thanks for letting me break rank and go off the subject!

That. Was. Ugly.
As ugly as I can remember. Alabama is really bad. And we played down to, and then below their level. I cannot remember being so disgusted that I had to start laughing.
As a Vanderbilt alum, who usually roots Hogs anyway, I started yelling, right after the Charles Thomas play where he threw it right to them under their basket (has there ever been a worse Hog than Thomas?), yeah, right then, I started yelling “Go Dores! We are gonna teach you about basketball on Saturday, you sorry sacks of shit! We are gonna Shan Foster you into the NIT, you worthless, bricklaying, fumblefingered no brain losers.”
Just an unbelievably bad performance. You’d have thought Stan Heath was coaching. And he might as well have been.

And go see Jim Harris’s post at Arkansas360. I couldn’t have said it better.

I have degrees from both Arkansas and Vanderbilt. I will certainly root for the Hogs come Saturday, for I am a born and bred Arkansan, and I go way back with the Hogs. Vandy is a recent addition to my sports life. With that said, it looks like Vanderbilt will be the NCAA tournament team that I get to pull for this year. The Hogs are uninspiring their way right out of the tournament. Losing on the road has become as certain as death and taxes. Geez.

Stephen,
Be thankful you didn’t get the broadcast of the game in Atlanta. I would have given anything to have that 2 hours of my life back to spend on something more productive like washing my dog or alphabetizing the herbs and spices in my kitchen…

possibly the worst case of the sophomore slump of all time. maybe p.b. is tired from his great summer run. the worst part is how winnable all these terrible losses have been. reminds me of last season’s football losses, and several those in recent years. just make you wanna tear hair out. especially in light of the bud walton blow outs they’ve handed out.

We need to take care of business, but we can still make the NCAA tournament.
I would not be surprised to see us beat Vanderbilt at home on Saturday.
