NCAA Pairing Open Thread

Our staff of analysts is busy chugging Red Bull and consuming massive quantities of amphetamines in order to stay up through the night analyzing the Arkansas-Indiana first-round match-up. We'll present the fruits of their labor throughout the rest of the week.

In the meantime, we want to hear from you.

Thoughts? Predictions?

Well, one good thing about it is the fact that the game won’t be played in the state of Georgia. Hardly anything happens there that is good for the Hogs. Too bad most SEC championship games are played there. The game is in North Carolina, and I seem to recall a Razorback team winning a national championship in that state not too long ago. Maybe some of that mojo is lingering in the air there still? Haha. We sure as hell could use it!

Well, I think we can get through the first round. And that’s much farther than I thought we’d be this season. Not to mention JP’s first year at coaching UA! And it hasn’t been a bad one.

Not a good draw for the Hogs. Indiana should have been a No. 5 seed, but the Hoosiers are just as bipolar as the Razorbacks, so if they are off and we are on, we can win that game. And if we have to play a No. 1 seed, North Carolina to me is the softest of the four top seeds, although playing them in North Carolina will not help.

My prediction?

PAIN! (for IU)

I think I would have rather been the 10 seed playing in the bottom half than a 9 seed possibly playing UNC. Louisville should have been a 2 seed. Go Hogs!!!
