Worse Than Hogville

The horror. Mistah Kurtz, the horror. If you went to Vanderbilt, you can't really expect much different, but...are you kidding? Please tell me that this is not happening. After a 5-0 start, can the Dores really lose six straight? Can they miss a bowl game? It will only be the 27th year for that. In a row. You think it sucks to be a Hog Fan? You ain't seen nuthin'. If you're a Hog Fan, you have hope. You have some sense of progress. You can see them getting better. You can think next year will be better. You did not just lose to Duke. In football.

I have degrees from both Vanderbilt and Arkansas. Admittedly, Arkansas has always been where the heart is, Vanderbilt being a late add on and only really occupies the left ventricle, haha. The Vandy story was a feel good story for me – until recently. I think I need to show up there in Nashvillve, for I am one of the few living human beings who has never seen Vanderbilt in person lose a football game. I only went to one game a year during the two years I was there, and unfortunately, I was at the game in Fayetteville when Vanderbilt beat the Hogs. Don’t you think Vanderbilt should cancel my student loans if I agreed to show up for just one game in Nashville? haha.

Please show up on November 22. I will find someone to buy you a ticket. The entire season will be salvaged by a win over the Vols.

By the way, Vanderbilt won four games in the four years I was there.
