Whew!

You can exhale now. What a crazy finish. What nice efforts from Casey Dick, D.J. Williams and Jarius Wright.

And what a kickoff return by Dennis Johnson.

Dare we dream of bowl eligibility? OK, that's definitely getting ahead of ourselves. Sorry, we're a little loopy.

Go Hogs!

Watched it on pay per view. First game I decided to watch all year. Turned Bama and Texas off after 1st quarter. I was extremely please the way we played. But someone tell me if I am wrong, but I counted at least 5 times where I thought Tulsa did not have enough men on the line of scrimmage. They would have the qb and rb in the backfield and then 2 recievers on one side off the line and a guy on the other side off the line. Maybe I was missing something but they didn’t have 7 guys on the line numerous times.

Great game and good to watch. Glad I paid $21.95.

For the second time in my football watching career I watched a Razorback game at a Buffalo Wild Wings. The first time was last year’s Tennessee game. That didn’t go so well. This year a friend was in town who wanted to spend a day absorbing college football with me, so we went to where college football fans roam. For a time we had the Arkansas game on the big screens and the sound. But when the Oklahoma State game came on, being in Stillwater, we got reduced to two small sets where we were sitting and had no sound.

And that is important because the PPV team did a bad job, in my opinion, with the down and distance. No yellow line. No constant display of the down and distance. My friend thought the Tulsa offense had two two downs left when in fact that incompletion was their last play. I was getting myself all set for triumph or heartbreak (could have produced a diamond!) when I looked back up and saw Casey take the victory snap. And just like that it was over!

Of course, being the Hogs, they couldn’t have just ended the game on the other side of the field. They had to cause some drama, as they usually do, at the end of a game. I sure would like all three of the last games to be coast to victory victories. But I highly doubt anyone of them will be, if a victory at all. Three very tough games ahead (Miss. State always plays us tough and will again this year), but still all winnable if the Hogs can build upon what they did right today, do it some more, and correct the wrong, aka find a way to more consistently score touchdowns in the redzone, this season’s achilles heel!
