Question for you guys.
I was born in 1971 and loved listening to my dad tell me stories about the Hogs. He passed away in 2005 but I still find myself reaching for the phone at times to call him and have him spin me a yarn from the old days.
I remember him telling me the stories about the Hog hoops teams in the mid to late 70’s. Sutton and the gang getting the ball rolling so to speak. He told me a story about a Texas aTm game at Barnhill that got pretty crazy. Apparently after a timeout some aTm players flung the rest of their water in their cups up on the students that were right behind their bench giving them the business. As the story goes, those students went and got a big bucket and filled it up with water and snuck it back down there with them behind the aTm bench. And during the next timeout, they doused the Aggie huddle with that bucket of water.
And of course there’s the time that the Razorback fan punched Abe Lemons in the face.
You guys do some great features. Could you guys put together some yarns to spin about some of the shenanigans and bitter moments of the good ole days?
Sure would make for a good series and some damned good reading.
