Monday Afternoon Diversion
As part of our ongoing effort to cheer up our readers, here's an absolutely glorious mid-1980s TV ad for the Contour lounge chair, courtesy of YouTube user amnewsboy. The clip is actually slightly Razorback related, since it features the late Hog announcer Paul Eells.
There are so many things to love about this ad, but as of this moment, my favorite part is the footage of the man puffing away on a nice, fat cigar as he enjoys a heretofore unattainable level of relaxation. Enjoy.

Oh – and I also really like the still photo of the construction worker (or member of the Village People – he could be either one).

Besides the early 80’s look of everybody, did you notice how they had a phone number for you to call and get a catalog? Today you would most certainly see www.comfortlounge.com plasted up on the screen.
