I Feel Like I'm in the Movie "Groundhog Day"

You know the drill: the Razorbacks have a double-digit lead in the first half. The Razorbacks lose.

As you know, the game wasn't on TV, and I didn't get to hear the radio broadcast. Maybe there is a God.

Yes, the hogs had a double digit lead in the first half and lost by 3 points. Yes, I’m disappoint in their lost, but just image how Coach Pelphrey and his players are feeling right now. I know how upsetting it to a fan when your team lose a game, especially when you had a big lead in the game and then let the other team win the gam. I’m one fan who is not going to give up on Coach Pelphrey and his team.

but i hope someone writes an article on the slap that had to be heard throughout the entire arena on the mike sanchez dive to the basket when thorton nearly broke both of sanchez’ wrists while “stealing” the ball. worst non call of about 8 non calls at that end during last parts of the second half.

otherwise, block out. just one time.

I, too, had a good feeling about this game, and those of us that shared similar sentiments were, obviously, not completely off base. In the end, though, it was the same song different verse.

I was prepared to come through with my “Hogs need their opponents to be ranked in order to win” comment, so I may have jinxed them. Sorry ’bout that.

There were rumors before the game that Pelphrey was ill and would not be on the court. I think he actually was, but can someone please confirm?

I think it’s pretty clear-cut why this team builds big first half leads, only to squander them late in the second half. They’re gassed. We need two more players that can contribute significant minutes (i.e. put numbers in the box score).

Can this team run the table in Tampa? I think they can probably beat anyone in the conference on a given day, but winning four games in four days with absolutely no depth is unlikely.

Disappoint and Sue,

Good comments. Sue, I think you’re right on the money. And, I don’t see anyway this team wins four straight in Tampa. They’d probably have to be hospitalized after three straight games.

So the “Law of Averages” lost again last night. I kept up with the score with ESPN’s updates. That was a nice thing about LSU being ranked in the Top 25, you could get the score at the bottom of the screen with relative ease. I saw the big lead, but just shook my head. I saw it narrow in the second half. Got consumed with a project for sometime and then thinking the game must be over by now turned back to the tv set to see the score come across that the Hogs had lost by three. SHIT! Marched over to by frig and put another “L” up on the schedule. Yuck.

SUE E. PIG – The gassed theory sounds pretty good to me. Out of the conference teams, might we have the fewest number of players on a team who actually see the floor?

Pelphrey was on the court. Even got a T! And, becaue he is sick, he couldn’t talk, so he evidently got the T for a facial expression! He was protesting a no-call after Sanchez got clobbered.

We need more depth, is all.

You’ve got to give them points for originality, though. Bad teams find new and innovative ways to lose games.
