The Force Was Not With Us Tonight
Nor has it been with us at any point since early January.
At long last, our nightmare is over. Time for the healing to begin.
The hour is getting late, and at this point I'm too tired to say anything other than "John Pelphrey, may The Force be with you on the recruiting trail."

I watched the game last night and the first half was one of the most boring, lack luster performances I have seen all year (both teams.) I watched the second half and we were down by 1 when I went to pack some clothes for an out of town trip this weekend. I couldn’t have been gone more than a minute or so and I came back into the room and we were down by 11. I have never seen anything like it, literally. I am glad this is finally over. This must be what it feels like to be tortured.

Stephen, that’s a hilarious picture. And a great representation of the end of this horrible SEC season! All it lacks is a little Razorback on the helmet, haha.
I watched “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” for the first time last night. I think if you could start a memory erasing business you would get some good business from Hog fans who want their memories erased of this SEC season. Of course, we would keep the OU and Texas memories.
I just wonder if the Texas coach didn’t put some Austin Voodoo curse on us when he said we should be in the Big 12. If so, yet another reason to hate Texas.

Kevin,
Great comments. I’m perfectly willing to blame all of this on Texas.

I just read where Chuck Norris is talking about Texas leaving the Union and himself becoming its president. I don’t know if I would want to fight to bring them back in, but I wouldn’t mind standing in Texarkana and tossing some grenades over there way as the Axis of Evil gets its fourth member, haha.

The English major in me wants to correct my previous “there” for “their.” Don’t want those Texans to think we Arkansans don’t know our “their” and “there.” haha.

Pelphry certainly believes in what he is doing. You have to give credit for that. He never changed a thing in the midst of a 15 game losing streak.
You can see why this team was so much better with Monk. Any time with Sanchez off the floor is quality time for the Hogs. It just shows what a couple of more players could mean to this team.
For all the great pub that Clark gets, the three guys on the bench all look and play more like SEC talent. They could spell Fortson a bit more as well. Sure he is good but he is getting worse playing for us instead of better. 4 assists and 9 turnovers?? Really??
Oh well, it’s over. The only problem is, it’s not over.
John is a great kid and I wish him well but, Arkansas is too high on the food chain to be treated this way. Someone needs to get a clue here. I know he has to be given one more year. But, he has to show more than he has shown so far.

I was there for every second of all 20 home games, plus the red/white game. I never thought I’d have to watch six home SEC losses. But I also never thought I’d get to see us dismantle OU and beat Texas this year. The Georgia game and halftime were amazing.
At the end of the day there is nothing quite like Arkansas basketball, as much as I love football and baseball.
And…I may just be Michael Sanchez’ only fan.
Here’s to “next year.” Go Hogs.
