TO Weighs In
I really was going to drop the whole topic of Arkansas-Florida officiating after my quick post earlier today, but when I read on the Slophouse blog that none other than Terrell Owens weighed in on the situation (via Twitter, of course) I had to share it.
Kind of bizarre to think of TO commenting on an Arkansas game, but this is 2009...anything is possible.

Sweet Jesus.
Is this legit? If nothing else, it’s nice to see the vitriol directed in some other direction besides toward BP and the Hogs.

yep, it's legit
Not that TO is the kind of upstanding guy you really want to have in your corner, but he makes a good point…and yeah, it’s a strange twist to have the popular sentiment on our side. As a Hog fan I’m not used to that.
But, in the end we still had plenty of chances to put that game away. So, unless TO weighs in with any more nuggets of wisdom, I’ll shut up about it.

TO could have
twitted some advice to Arkansas receivers about catching the ball as well. The game was really as close to going our way as the disance between Childs’ hands and the ball that went through them while he was in the endzone. Childs, he is a great player, and I love him. But if he simply catches that ball, different ballgame. The refs would have to have gotten more inventive, haha, at the least!

More inventive?
How do you become anymore inventive than that phantom personal foul call on Malcolm Shepperd? or the interference call on R. Broadway? or the no-call, late hit out of bounds to D. Johnson? or the…..awwwh, nuts!!
Did I happen to mention we got screwed just a little?

PR coup d'etat
This could be our ticket to the big stage, if we play our cards right. Imagine stealing the hearts of the Saturday faithful nationwide. Razorback caps and t-shirts start showing up on fans from NYC to SanFran. The team of the future. The true under-Hog bringing down Gothem City fat cat corruption (aka SEC, BCS and Florida). We are building a good foundation to handle all the future hype we’ll be getting. We go to the Cotton Bowl and win big in front of the recruits again before national signing day (this season). Imagine not having the world or espn against us.
