obviously we will rely on Rasputin to issue our official prediction later in the week...

…but I think it will be a close game. You know Nutt will have his team fired up for this one and I predict the Rebels will play perhaps their best game of the season. But, if the defense plays the way it did against Florida and Mallett completes a few more open passes then I like our chances.

My bad.

Wasn’t trying to steal the show.

you're not stealing the show at all.

I always really like it when people put up FanPosts…I just had to mention Rasputin so as not to anger him (he’s very volatile).

I agree w/ John....

I think it will be close. I would not be surprised if Houston can rally the troops and get their best effort.. But I’m gonna go with the Hogs here. First off, I think Ryan Mallet is due for a really good game. The guy seems to “get it” and he knows he didn’t have a good game last week against a much better Florida defense….therefore I expect big things from him.

Assuming we get Michael Smith back…that’s another advantage. Dennis played great last week and is a serviceable back, but I couldn’t help but think last week against FLA how much Michael Smith would have helped. He is by far the best back on our team.

Defensively I am a little concerned. I know Ole Miss won’t put on any passing clinics and we seem to stop the power running game pretty well. What does concern me is the “wild rebel” which we just haven’t seen much of this year—I know FLA’s offense is close, but Tebow is not the breakaway threat that the Ole Miss guy is and the Auburn game was just weird. Throw in the fact that it seems like every game we count on the opposing QB to overthrow a wide open receiver 20 yds behind our defense and there is enough to concern me.

Ultimately, though, I’m gonna predict a 31-27 win for Arkansas. Our offense will be impressive against a defense that while solid, is not near the caliber of ALA or FLA. Our defense will regress a little playing against a physical, “wild rebel” heavy offense on its home field. GO HOGS

I dabbled in pacifism once....not in 'Nam of course
