Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

Know This Man

Meet Anthony Dixon. He's the biggest obstacle standing between the Hogs and their 7th victory this season. In the nightmare scenario, he runs for about 220 yards and 3 TDs while leading the Bulldogs on multiple clock-killing drives that keep the ball away from Ryan Mallett and the offense.

Put yourself in Willy Robinson's shoes: how do we stop him?

Uhhhh

Stack the box?

Their starting quarterback is something like 4 TD’s to 13 INTs.

Hopefully, our scrubs in the secondary can only give up one or two TD’s allowing us to slow down A. Dixon.

I say we put eight in the box...

Lee cannot thro the ball and they have absolutely no passing game. Eventually they will have to throw the ball and we should have easy pickens.

Make their starting QB beat us.

I agree, that we stack the line and force MSU to beat us thru the air. Which i don’t think that they can do.

Vary between run blitzes and stacking the box to stop the run and play our d-backs a bit deeper in order to stop any long runs or deep passes. Bend but don’t break with respect to the pass, since their passing game is weak.
