I was prepared for this to be a rough season, but this is a little jarring.

I'm (almost) kidding.
But I think we should just abolish the team this year and try again next season. This, quite frankly, is a little disconcerting.
What happened to Washington?
He just stands around the majority of the time. He was one of the best big men in the SEC last season, leading the league in rebounding. Now he just looks like some walkon nobody has never even heard of. How much more depressing is this season going to get?
C. Fortson still isn’t practicing? Wow!
I like Pel, but this current trend off pathetic basketball is going to have to end pretty soon.
I have no clue what to think about this team right now.

He just looks out of shape and like he doesn’t give a flip about the team. And who can blame him?
This is what happens when you have a total of one recruit on the team from the last two years. Clarke is the only recruit Pelphrey has signed that is playing from his first two recruiting classes. That’s amazing.
Washington's play is indeed alarming.
If he continues to mail it in …. well, I think we’re seeing what happens when he does.
And three-point defense continues to be a disaster. ETU shot 85 percent from behind the arc last night! Amazing.

Utter collapse of program
It hasn’t been this bad since before Eddie Sutton arrived. Maybe since before Lanny Van Eman. I like Pelphrey, I want him to succeed, but right now we have a team with very little talent, which is also poorly coached and unmotivated. Wow.
The defense last night was non-existent. Our offense consists of Clarke (who would be a great sixth or seventh man on a legitimate D I team), Washington is nothing short of the most disappointing player in memory. We don’t know how to set picks or execute sharp cuts. We are out of position on defense.
The only thing that gives me any hope is that thought that this year we suck at the front end of the season, which is better than last year when we sucked at the end of the season, but only if we actually turn it around. There is no evidence that will happen.
College coaches, must recruit, motivate and coach. In that order. I don’t see that Pelphrey can do any of the three.
