ESPN is reporting that Ron Zook has tabbed Paul Petrino to replace it's newly fired OC. As a student at Illinois, I can attest first-hand at just how bad the Illini were this season. However, it's my belief that the problem is Zook, not the assistants. Frankly, I was hoping Illinois would have fired Zook this season, and the Hogs could have snagged him to run the defense and recruiting, but that obviously didn't work out. Petrino is obviously competent, but he's joining a staff that will be job-hunting if they can't pull off a winning record next season. I wish him well, and I have no doubts that the Arkansas offense will be fine, but I can't help but think that this is an odd career move.
