Quoting Wally Hall: 100 Years of Ryan Mallett?

I wholeheartedly agree with the general sentiment of this tweet from Wally Hall's Twitter feed, but am thinking it may go a step too far.

Surely even the most ardent Hog fan would agree that asking Ryan Mallett to spend the next 102 years as the Arkansas QB is a bit much...even if the NCAA granted him an extra century of eligibility, I can't imagine that his arm strength will be all that impressive when he's in his 120s.

Rookie pay limit???

Seems all the speculation revolves around the rookie pay cap. I saw an article recently that said that rule is not contractually in place for 2011…at least not yet and that the money difference for Ryan could be like 4.5 million for 2010 as opposed to 45 million (maybe) for waiting till 2011. The article quoted C. Mortenson and made it look like he would stay another year. Anybody else see the article and have other views?

Why pick on Wally's math skills?

I don’t think he was a math major so why bring this up?

I’m really upset about some other things on his twitter account.

For instance, on Dec. 8th he tweeted, “This is personal, but I always save vacation for Christmas, got about one-fourth of shopping done today. More tomorrow.”

Well, he never updated us on his shopping despite the promise of more coming tomorrow! Why even have a twitter account if you can’t follow up better than that?
