Same As It Ever Was: Oklahoma 67, Arkansas 47
The basketball Hogs lost their fourth game in a row tonight. For those keeping count, that means the team is 4-20 since conference play began last year. 4-20. That's hard to believe.
As crazy as this may seem, I'm not yet ready to abandon all hope: I think if/when Courtney Fortson and Michael Washington make it back and the other suspended players get into the swing of things, that maybe this team can do some good things. Maybe.
Having said that, there's no denying that the Hogs are just brutal these days. I watched as much of the game as I could on ESPN360.com, and it was an ugly, ugly affair. If prisoners of war were forced to watch it, then I'm fairly certain that their captors would be in violation of the Geneva Convention.
As always, please chime in with your thoughts in the comments thread.

Had it on here in OK
They had the game on television here in Oklahoma. I could only watch bits and pieces at a time before the frustration had me changing channels. Then I would switch back to see if things had gotten any better. They hadn’t. There at the end, there was absolutely no hussle what-so-ever. They were beaten, sure. But they could have gone out looking like fighters instead of just standing around and watching OU score at will. Ugggh.
They at least played well for part of the game
I don’t know if it’s our lack of depth or maybe lack of talent (possibly both) but it seems to me that we only play how we’re supposed to for a few minutes in the game, and once things start falling apart we just can’t come back.
We played better than they did most of the first half, until they started making wide open threes. Maybe that means that our players were just too tired by end of the half, but either way there were just so many missed marks. And for some reason the beginning of the second half was actually played well, except for the whole making baskets part. But when they did start to fall, we cut the lead to 8 and had a pretty nice run, but then again our team just seemed to give up after that.
I really do hope that once we have a full team, and once our new players get some experience that we’ll improve dramatically, but I just don’t know if that will happen this year.
On a side note, the funniest thing all night was the (nick)name Tiny Gallon.
