Memory Lane: Arkansas 34, Alabama 31 (2003)
Say what you will about Houston Dale, but his teams had a knack for pulling off incredibly dramatic victories. And few were more dramatic than the Hogs' win over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa in 2003.
Judged by the standards of the Nutt era, this overtime game was fairly short, featuring "only" two extra periods. But the Razorbacks were down by 21 points midway through the third period and rallied to win. That's impressive, even if the opposing coach was Mike Shula.

I remember this game well...
It is always good to beat Bama!
One comment on the video…I have made this before on other blogs. WHY NOT just leave the TV commentary on? Why miss the roar of the crowd and the excitement of those in the stands? Why subject the viewers to someones questionable taste in music?
Thanks, I feel better after the rant.
I was in the student section of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium watching Ole Miss blow an 11pt 4th quarter lead to Texas Tech that afternoon/evening. My mom gave me the play-by-play of the Hogs’ comeback over my cellphone. Rebel fans surrounding me seemed as thrilled about Arkansas’s win as I was—until they lost their own game.
That was a great comeback
I just wish that season had ended on a higher note. You beat Alabama and Texas at their stadiums in the same season you should expect something better than Shreveport to end it. Hey, any bowl win I’ll take for Arkansas. But that going 0-3 in October that year just really killed things for us. If I were Ole Miss right now, I wouldn’t want to contemplate the 2003 season that Arkansas had.
