Are You Ready for Some Football??
Apologies for referencing that terrible Hank, Jr song, but I'm more excited about this football season than any other one I can remember and it's making me a little loopy. I'm guessing many of you are feeling the same way.
Since this is our first year covering football on the new Arkansas Expats site, I thought I'd share a few details about what we'll be doing on game days throughout the fall:
First of all, we'll put up an open game thread every Saturday so you can discuss the game while it's happening. This should be a fun way to interact with your fellow Hog fans, and if I may add a personal note I'll be counting on your help here to keep me posted on how the games are going since I live in a place (Berkeley, CA) where, for some reason, SEC television coverage takes a back seat to the Pac-10.
Following that, we'll put up a post game thread that, if all goes well, will be a place where we all talk about how awesome and spectacular and amazing the Hogs' performance was (at least 7-8 times this fall, that is).
The point of all this is to give you all the the opportunity to share your thoughts, voice your opinions and connect with other Razorback fans. The best part of doing this blog, hands down, has always been the little community of fellow crazies that has sprung up around it, and we're hoping these Saturday forums can be a way to get people to actively participate and enjoy it with us.
Woo Pig Sooie!!!

Game Summary
I just bought the Direct TV special. I will probably be able to see nearly every game this year except the first one (depending on how ESPN and the SEC deal goes). I am really excited about where the football program is headed. I will try to chime in as the games progress this year. Go hogs!!!!!!!!!! That is one ! for each game we will win. If we could some how be 5-0 when we face Florida, I think we could clean the remaining slate.
Hey John,
I just had a cool idea. See, I am a flight attendant. I primarily fly on the west coast and the past couple months I’ve spent more time in SFO than I have at home.
Monday I’ve got a long overnight in SFO and so if you want to grab a cup of “Pete’s” I’d love to talk to razorback ball with you.
And let’s cross our fingers for a great season!
Love the idea, but...
…we already have plans for Monday night. Definitely let me know next time you’ll be in the area…would be great to talk about the Razorbacks (I don’t get to do that all that much out here).
Sounds like a plan.
Yeah, I forgot it was Labor Day (lucky me, working on every holiday). I don’t get much hog talk anymore unless I’m talking to family back in the Natural State. We stay overnight down in South San Fran but I can hop on the BART, you know how it is.
I’ll be sure to hit you up the next time I’m here on a lengthy overnight.
P.S. Bring you’re Oakland friend McFadden. He’s a cool guy and I picked him up on my fantasy team.
