In anticipation of tomorrow's battle against Auburn, we asked Rasputin, our staff soothsayer and a seemingly ageless Russian immigrant, to offer his prediction for the game. Rasputin - who was the official White House palm reader for Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower during Ike's first term - has been a rabid Razorbacks football fan since the program's debut in 1894.
His forecast is after the jump:
"As I gaze into my crystal ball, the future is in a cloud
I see both Tigers and War Eagles in a stadium quite loud.
The coaches are scheming and the offense is shootin'
And the defense performs valiantly against a giant named Newton.
But alas! I envision much initial glory followed by an ending of great pain
A last-minute score gives our enemies a lead we will not regain.
The pig-emblazoned warriors of Arkansas - 27
The generically-named warriors of Auburn - 30."
It brings us no pleasure to relay that prediction, and Rasputin isn't too happy about it either. What do you think?
