I will confess

to being one of the perhaps overly optimistic folks who pulled the lever for the 3-1 option.

My prognostication is that the Hogs will beat LSU, Vandy and Ole Miss. These guys might not be quite ready to win consistently on the road, but I feel pretty good about them in Bud Walton. Hopefully, the home crowds will be big and raucous for the remaining games.

Mississippi State’s last four games are: Alabama in Starkville, South Carolina on the road, Auburn on the road and Tennessee at home. That’s an easier slate than the Hogs, but the Bulldogs can’t seem to get out of their own way.

Should be an interesting two weeks.
