Beware of the Bulldogs

Count me among those who would be somewhat surprised if the Hogs come out of Athens tonight with a win. I say that for several reasons. First off, I'm just generally skeptical of this team's ability to win two straight games on the road. Secondly, I'm worried that their heads might be in the clouds a little bit after Sunday's surprising win over the Rebels. And finally, Georgia is a better team than its record indicates.

Yes, the Bulldogs may only be 9-10 overall and 1-5 in the SEC, but included among those records are wins over Tennessee and Georgia Tech, currently ranked 14th and 21st, respectively, in the AP Poll. And with the exception of a road loss against Florida, Georgia has played all of its conference opponents, including Kentucky, very closely.

A while back, I said I would be pretty giddy if the Hogs were able to snag two wins during the fairly brutal five-game stretch that began with the Florida game and concludes with tonight's contest in Athens. Well, they've managed to do that. Getting a thoroughly unexpected third victory promises to be more difficult than you may think.

What is your prediction for tonight's game?

Does anyone know

when we switch to Nike? I know that next year we will be wearing Nike, but I wonder when that officially takes place. GHG

Hogs win... again.

After digging a huge hole at halftime. We’re definitely better than we were last year. Here’s hoping to being better next your than we are this year. WPS.
