The Fat Lady Has Sung: Georgia 77, Arkansas 64

The 2010 season has come to an end, as has Mike Nail's 29-year career as the Hogs' radio play-by-play man.

Thanks for the great calls, Mike. You will be missed. The 2010 season, on the other hand, not so much.

It's late here in the Eastern time zone, so we're going to sign off for the evening. We'll be back with some postseason analysis in the days ahead. Until then ...

Without a much improved Fortson ...

… Arkansas won’t be much better in 2010-11.

No

The Hogs will not be much better next year.

Fire him. Fire him now. Hire anyone. Billy G, Corliss, the girls coach at a 4A high school. It cannot get worse than what I saw tonight.

Rock Chalk. Go Dores. The Hogs suck.

If you want me, I will be in the bar.

Yuck.

I was the one at the bar mumbling a combination of “dammit”, “can’t coach”, and “out of control again.”
Last 3 years: 23-12 , 14-16 (2-14), 14-18 (7-9). We are not trending well.
It was nice of us and Georgia to give LSU two late-season wins.

I read where Jim Counce was honored at halftime. Give him a shot.
The UofA gymnastics is #7 in the nation, let’s give coach Mark Cook a shot at basketball. We could quadruple his salary.
Still: Go Hogs!!

To illustrate the level of apathy in fandom, I, who have paid for GamePlan for about ten years now or however long it’s been available, went out last night, didn’t watch, didn’t care, and didn’t even check the result until this morning.

And I have been known to interrupt intimate acts to check out the Hogs on TV in the next room, just to show the degree of my fanaticism.

Really

John, you need to pull this up into a post. Or maybe a box on the side. Hogs (down arrow); Intimate Acts (up arrow).

Watched the score

I didn’t bother to go through the trouble of watching the game. I just watched the score at the bottom of the ESPN screen, and I did that only in a half hearted fashion, for I didn’t even stay up to see the final. I saw it this morning while getting ready for work, and I didn’t surprise me one bit. Just glad this season is over. I hope Pelphrey can put a real team together between now in November, but I won’t be holding my breath.

Is there anyone besides Jeff Long who believes in Pelphrey?

Not me.

I wish the AD was as passionate about Razorback basketball as he apparently is about courtside recliners, ribbon boards, and eradicating Slobber Hog from midcourt.

Well now that that is over...

can we focus on the no-so-depressing U of A sports? I wonder how Mallet’s foot is doing. Anyone heard of how the weight room is treating our up-and-coming SEC Champions?

I agree with dxf04, Track and the Diamond hogs are great to watch too!
