Final Nail, Meet Coffin

Well, the Razorbacks gave it the old college try on the road against a good Tennessee team, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Better than the LSU, Alabama or Auburn losses? Yes. A moral victory we can feel good about? Not really. Moral victories don't get you into postseason play, nor do they win you the SEC West. And, since both of those goals now seem solidly out of reach it doesn't seem like there's all that much to celebrate at the moment

Fellow Hog callers, as you look back on this season and ahead to the future what do you think?

Here's what I think ...

Marshawn Powell is as good as advertised, and will make a good foundation for our future teams.

Courtney Fortson ain’t. Too bad a shot, too selfish a point guard. As someone who grew up watching Moncrief, Walker, Day, and Thurman, I’m getting pretty frustrated watching a team with no working offense.

Meh...

I still think you guys are going to be dangerous in the SECT… and if you beat Ole Miss, you’ll get a bye too. Season isn’t quite over yet.

Thanks Caban!

I know a few other sites that could use your positive attitude.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
