It has been a long time (1989) since the Hogs won their last football championship, not just one of those division championships. The post-Cold War era hasn't brought in a lot of trophies for the Hogs, but this is also the post-SWC era as well. The level of competition has increased mightedly since the days when Rice, TCU, and Baylor counted as conference victories. We all know that we've made it to Atlanta three times and have struck out all three times. But I just have a feeling that whenever the Hogs get back there that the end result will be different.
