With the 4th of July upon us, I thought I would make this week's football trivia question somewhat related to our national independence by submitting a question about, yes, the 2003 Independence Bowl - Shreveport's gift to the nation, along with Billy the Exterminator, haha. The Hogs didn't exactly exterminate our now fellow SEC school, Missouri, in that game, but they did win 27-14 for bowl win number eleven. Matt Jones ran in a touchdown and so did Cedric Cobbs. But it was the foot of a certain kicker who booted in four field goals for an Independence bowl record and in my mind deserved MVP status that is the subject of today's question. Can you name that kicker? Make your selection and then look in the comment section for the correct answer.
