Reid Compton-US PRESSWIRE
Aloha, Reeve! When was the last time Arkansas had a Hawaiian on the football team?
Army All-American offensive lineman, Reeve Koehler is the 13th commitment for the Razorback's 2013 class.
The four-star offensive linemen comes in at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds and hails from the The Aloha State. Rivals.com has Koehler rated as the country's eighth-best offensive guard in the country, and there is no doubt he will play a key role in the future of Bret Bielema's strong o-lines. Koehler has offers from Kansas, Tennessee, California, and Hawaii, though Fayetteville was his last scheduled official visit.
The Catfish Hole experience (and previous relationship with Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman) was a key in convincing him to make his commitment to the Razorbacks reports Richard Davenport of WholeHogSports.com.
Give the guy from Hawaii a little taste of fried catfish and some Southern hospitality and he will see why none of us want to leave. Koehleer was also attracted to the closeness of the Razorback team, seeing them going through last year and how they are "hungry" to get to the 2013 season.
Not at the Catfish Hole but word is Hawaii OL Reeve Koehler is blown away
Ok, from what I gather imua pua'a is how you call the Hogs in Hawaiian. OL Reeve Koehler had to be impressed
To those of you who learned to Call the Hogs in Hawaiian, props to you.
A few of his future teammates were happy to welcome Koehler to the signing class. Here the Elite 11 quarterback, Austin Allen he will be blocking for on Koehler's committment:
S/O to my flying Hawaiian big lineman Reeve Koehler on committing to the Razorbacks!
And his blue chip friend who will play tight end for the Hogs, Hunter Henry:
Congrats to my boy Reeve Koehler on committing to Arkansas!
