Big plays for the junior in games against all the Tigers this week makes Marshawn the 13th Razorback player to be named SEC Player of the Week

With a win away from Bud Walton Arena over the Auburn Tigers and a win at home against the Missouri Tigers, the Hogs have created a big stir and have created a little momentum for themselves. On Monday, the SEC named Marshawn Powell the SEC Player of the Week. Powell was a big factor in both games and scored 24 points against Missouri and 20 points against Auburn.

While his rebounding was subpar against Missouri with only bringing in 2, his 9 rebounds against Auburn were key and almost resulted in his 4th double double on the season.

He also moved into 24th on the Razorbacks all-time scoring list, 20th on average ppg (players playing 70 games or more), and has continued to hold his shooting percentage over 50% for his career.

Hats off to Marshawn Powell.

I'm sure BJ Young was #2 on the POTW this week as he had 43 points over the last two games and made all the big shots at the end of both games. They both amassed 7+ rebounds and 4+ rebounds, but the edge on Turnovers was certainly Powell's as BJ turned it over 6 times in the last two games.
